NCI Panthers

Keegan Beer is a returning grade 12, 6’1 guard, who is capable of scoring in bunches. He is can both drive and shoot with range. He has managed to score 50 or more points numerous times. He has been a provincial all-star in both 2016 and 2017 as well as MHSAA athlete of the week. Parker Davis is a returning grade 12, 5’11 guard, who is usually the hardest working guy on the floor. He also has the skills to compliment his hustle and is a capable scorer from anywhere on the court. Austin Anderson is a grade 12, 6’1 forward, who is a natural athlete. He is back in basketball after taking last year off. He understands positioning and is a great rebounder with nice touch around the rim. He is a great volleyball player who is committed to play for the University of Winnipeg in the fall. Joel Dueck is a grade 11, 6’0 forward, who runs the floor with the best. He has relentless pace and is a good all-around player. He leads a talented group of new players that hold much potential and upside.

The panthers have a deep athletic team with many good multi-sport athletes.  They play a fast paced game. High intensity and high energy is brought to both ends of the floor. With good perimeter shooting they aim to stretch out the defense. With 9 grade 12s on the team there is a lot of experience on the roster. The team is looking to go one step further and bring a provincial championship back to Niverville for the first time in 40 years.  Last year the team won 3 tournaments. This year the team is looking to compete in every game and maybe Niverville’s varsity boys have finished 2nd and 3rd the last two years at AA provincials. This year take some schools by surprise.
